Primary Features for all LED Street Lights (AC & DC Types)
- Power Supply is Weather Proof, total Encapsulation with heat conductive silicone rubber, good heat conduction out of the supply.
- Power Factor – Greater than 0.95
- Power Supply Serviceability – Power Supply is removable without having to remove the light from the pole.
- LED Type – SMT only, SMT LEDs allow for automated assembly and best heat transfer, resulting in maximum product life and reliability.
- LED Arrangement – Series and Parallel – Such and arrangement results in maximum redundancy. Since the power supply is constant current, failure of individual LEDs results in no reduction of brightness, as the surrounding parallel LEDs simply get brighter as total current flow is constant.
- LED Optical Modules – Sealed for the life of the light. The optical modules need to be sealed to prevent, dust and insects form entering and collecting inside them. This would result in degradation of the LEDs and premature light reduction.
- Light Fixture Construction – Pure Extruded Aluminum. Extruded Aluminum is stronger and more corrosion resistant than die-cast Aluminum.
- LED Heat removal – High Efficiency Extruded Aluminum Heat Sink. Heat Conduction of extruded Aluminum is much superior to die-cast Aluminum.
- Aluminum Pre-Treatment – 4 step pre-treatment followed by Anodizing or Powder Coating. Aluminum has to be properly pre-treated for good anodizing or powder coating results.
